Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 1, 2026
GoodService is developed and provided by Gennady Vedernikov ("we," "us," or the "Developer"). This policy explains how information is handled when you use GoodService on a supported Apple device. Features may differ by app version and platform.
1. Summary and scope
GoodService is an offline-first business tool for service and repair work. We do not operate a GoodService user-account service or developer backend that receives the operational contents of the app.
We do not collect, sell, rent, use for advertising or track the customer, equipment, order, document, inventory or financial records you keep in GoodService. The App Store privacy card for the currently published Mac version states that data is not collected by the Developer.
2. Information you add to GoodService
Depending on the version and the features you use, GoodService may process information you enter, import, photograph or create, including:
• workshop profile information, such as business name, logo, contact details, address, registration or tax details, currency and document settings;
• customer information, such as names, company details, phone numbers, email addresses, addresses and notes;
• customer equipment information, such as category, brand, model, color, serial number or IMEI, condition, accessories, reported issue and service history;
• orders, statuses, event history, diagnostics, estimates, work, parts, discounts, taxes, deadlines, tasks, checklists, warranty information and notes;
• photos, generated PDF documents and files you choose to attach;
• service catalog, inventory, suppliers, stock movements and purchase information;
• payments, refunds, expenses, balances, revenue, costs and reports;
• an optional access code for a customer device when you deliberately use that sensitive field.
This information is processed to provide the functions you request. It is not sent to the Developer.
3. Local storage and private iCloud synchronization
GoodService stores a working copy of its data locally using Apple platform storage. Supported versions can use Apple CloudKit to synchronize records and attachments through the private database associated with your Apple Account.
The current synchronization design is for one owner using their own Mac, iPad and iPhone under the same Apple Account. GoodService 1.0 does not provide employee invitations, roles or cross-account sharing.
iCloud synchronization is provided by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. The Developer does not receive or have routine access to the contents of your private CloudKit database. When iCloud is unavailable, supported offline features can continue using the local copy and synchronize later.
4. Photos, camera and files
If you choose a feature that captures or attaches a photo, GoodService may request camera access or use Apple’s system photo picker. The app receives only the photo you capture or the items you select. File import receives only the files you choose through the system picker.
Selected photos and attachments are stored with the related business record and may synchronize through your private iCloud database. They are not sent to the Developer.
5. Sensitive device access codes
If you choose to record a passcode or other access value for equipment being serviced, treat it as highly sensitive information and obtain the customer’s clear authorization.
Supported versions keep this field separately encrypted, hide its value from ordinary logs, search, printing and standard exports, and automatically clear it when the related order is closed. GoodService does not send the value to the Developer.
6. Device authentication
GoodService may let you lock access to the app with Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode. Authentication is performed by Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework. GoodService does not receive or store your biometric data.
7. Local notifications
With your permission, supported versions may schedule local notifications for order deadlines or tasks. These notifications are created on the device and are not delivered through a Developer push-notification service. You can change notification access and Lock Screen visibility in system settings.
8. Documents, import, export and sharing
GoodService can create PDF documents and import or export supported data as CSV. Nothing is shared automatically. Before a sensitive export, supported versions may ask you to confirm the action.
When you choose to share, print, save or open a document or export, the destination, recipient or service you select receives that file. Its own privacy terms then apply. Check the recipient and contents before sending customer, financial or access information.
9. Advertising, analytics and third-party SDKs
GoodService contains no advertising, tracking, third-party analytics or third-party crash-reporting SDKs in the current implementation. We do not create an advertising profile or use workshop data for marketing.
GoodService uses Apple system technologies where needed, including local storage, iCloud and CloudKit, authentication, notifications, photo and file pickers, printing and the Share sheet. Apple handles information used by its services under Apple’s terms and privacy policy.
10. Retention, archiving and deletion
Operational records may be archived instead of being silently cascade-deleted so that financial, stock and service history remains internally consistent. Attachments are removed when you explicitly delete them or when a retention setting you enable applies.
You can remove supported records and attachments inside GoodService. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device, but synchronized data may remain in iCloud and return after reinstalling the app. You can manage app data through the iCloud storage settings of your Apple Account.
Because the Developer does not operate an account database or have access to your private CloudKit database, we cannot retrieve, change, export or delete that content on your behalf.
11. Customer information and your responsibility
GoodService is a professional tool. If you enter information about a customer, employee, supplier or another person, you are responsible for having a lawful basis and any required notices or consent for its storage, use, synchronization, export and disclosure.
This responsibility is especially important for contact details, property photos, financial records, signatures, device identifiers and access codes. Use only the information necessary for the service you provide and protect exports and printed documents appropriately.
12. Security
GoodService relies on Apple platform sandboxing, storage protection, private CloudKit and optional device authentication. Sensitive access values receive additional protections described above. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security, so protect your device and Apple Account and keep operating-system updates current.
13. Children
GoodService is a professional business application and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children or other users through a Developer server.
14. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when GoodService features, platforms or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
